Modelling Begins!

Modelling Ye olde town Americana style.

As the game was centered in the arid desert of 1950s america, it was deemed necessary to build a motel. I mean, come on, just an excuse really.

But I digress, in correlation to the setting of the game, phosphate was treated to a rather large motel. Seen here in un-textured form, the in-game version will be textured to mirror the run down ambiance phosphate will radiate.

Being that this is my first large model I have built, scale has been an issue; the scaling of the walls as compared to the game space meant that the players camera often clipping of low door surrounds etc. As this is a steep learning curve for me, I've found that all these issues can be rectified easily enough, and that greater care needs to be used when scaling objects, especially doors, for the game space.
