Level Design!
Now that I have a set to plan around I started implementing some ideas as to where the player should go and how they are able to interact with the scene. The original plan is to have them go from the motel, then to the diner and then onto the sheriffs office but we felt that it was a lot to take in for the tutorial level and some aspects would be better suited to the first level of the game.
I toyed with the idea of having an inventory system but after a group meeting we decided on only allowing players to carry "key" items, things that are important to the current scene.
To help guide them we're going to place some trigger boxes that create text on-screen to act as the players internal and external monologue. Other hints on where to go will be shown in the dialogue once its implemented. Hopefully next week we can start adding in some of the mechanics.
