Updating the game flow

After we redesigned the game space some adjustments had to be made to the game flow, with the tutorial level now just being taken place in the center of town. Older versions of the scene felt too empty and unnecessarily large, dialing down the size of the area can help focus the player on their objective.

The character will now move from the motel to the diner and back again. Since Matt has implemented the npc chat feature, we have the character talk to the diner owners and gain some information. Some of the dialogue hints at there being aliens in the town giving the player some feel for the games setting.

There will be voice acting implemented into later builds but for now we're using simple text with the option to give different answers, while this may not be important in the tutorial level it helps to at least let the player know that this is an option.

In the next post I'll be talking about the lighting and particle effects we will use to add a lot more feel for the game.
