Showing a deeper looking into the NPC Chat
In my latter posts about the npc chat did show the process i took to make the conversations which we have in the game. The way the NPC chat works is you create through the chat boxes and write the dialogue as you want. Next you can you can set up page events which is how i use our state machine to make it so the player movements stops as you talk so the player can not accidentally walk out of conversations, so i make is so when you enter the chat you change state to "Talking" and as you leave the chat you go back to "Walking".
In this conversation i have set up multiple conversations you can have with the NPC's with buttons, which works by changing the conversations and give new dialogue writings.
Overview i am extremely happy with the npc chat it has given me so many options and really help me to bring the game to life with the feeling of immersive conversation, although i did have to spend a while to get used to the system it is a great toll now i begining to get the hang of it.
