Today's forecast, Dust Storms.

A guest lecturer (Kevin Wicks) came in and showed us how to use particle systems, after some experimenting Kevin helped me refine the system until it resembled a dust storm. I felt this would fit the environment as well as help give some context as to why the player is unable to wander off into the desert.

Sadly Mayas lighting system made it difficult to get a decent picture of the particle system in action.

To ensure the dust clouds looked just right I adjusted its settings, mostly its shape and emission rate to make sure it didn't ruin the players vision completely.
