Map Redesign
Previously, we had created a small map in Maya to serve as the basis for the game world to be built. Soon, however, this map became more and more outdated; being a static mesh, it was unsuitable to edit and any changes we wanted to make became impossible.
It became apparent that we should find another way to create the terrain needed for our game world. Upon reading into the abilities and tools of the Unity editor, we found that the game engine had a native terrain building tool, equipped with texture painting, vertex blending, deformation tools, amount others.
I then decided that we will take advantage of this tool set, and jumped into the basic creation of the terrain we needed to re-sculpt. For now, I have to familiarise myself with the toolset, and post the results soon!
